review: bobbi brown eye corrector & creamy concealer kit

please see review after the jump

nearing the end of my mac studio sculpt concealer (NC 30), i noticed that it started melting and not lasting as long during the day. i decided to try out new concealers, and decided on the bobbi brown corrector as well as the concealer kit.

the corrector is peach based to neutralize the darkness of the under the eyes, and since i have extremely dark circles, i decided to give it a try. even without the concealer, i find that it cover dark circles without looking too cakey. however, i find that it does not give me enough coverage and so i do use quite a bit of concealer. overall, it does a good job and lasts the entire day. lately, i've also been using another pressed powder to set the eye makeup instead of the one in the concealer kit and i find it does the job just as well.

all in all, i find both products to work just as described but are a bit too expensive. the online site has the corrector and creamy concealer kit priced at $22 and $32, respectively, but unfortunately the prices at holt renfrew in canada are about $5-$8 more expensive. my suggestion: get the corrector and the creamy concealer. don't bother with the kit, because you can use any loose or even pressed powder to set the eye makeup and it'll last you all day long!
